Civilian Marksmanship Program
 
I picked up an old copy of the magazin American Rifleman from a guy that did some gunsmith work for me. It has an ad for the Civilan Marksmanship Program and surplus .30-06 ammo. You can get 960 rounds for $230, delivered. It comes in those spiffy army ammo cases.

You must be a member of a CMP affiliated organization to purchase from CMP. It'll cost about 25 bucks and you'll have to jump through a few hoops.

There are a couple of net dealers who beat that price, but not on Lake City.
